Welcome!

I’m Katie and I’m so glad you’re here.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I’ve been a yoga teacher and studio co-owner for over a decade. I completed both my 200- and 500- hour trainings in Rishikesh, India under my beloved teacher, Yogrishi Vishvketu. And in 2023 I completed my Master of Science in Yoga Therapy program from MUIH.

Before yoga, I worked in social work and spent years living and teaching abroad. I wandered (literally and figuratively!) across continents- from classrooms in South Korea to community programs in Thailand- always carrying yoga with me. Eventually, I found my home in yoga therapy: a powerful bridge between ancient wisdom practices and evidence-based care.

What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy is a holistic, evidence-informed approach that uses the tools of yoga- breath, movement, meditation, and philosophy- to support mental, emotional, physical, and sometimes spiritual well-being.

Unlike a general yoga class, sessions are customized to the individual and often address specific concerns such as mental health (anxiety, depression, PTSD), chronic pain (back pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia), illness (diabetes, hypertension) and quality of life (sleep challenges, fatigue). Yoga therapy is one-on-one or small group work tailored to your unique body, medical history, and personal goals. It meets you exactly where you are, no matter your experience level, diagnosis, or flexibility.

Yoga Therapists receive extensive, specialized training- I hold a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy and have additional education in physiology, anatomy, psychology, and biomedicine.

Yoga therapy doesn’t require flexibility or experience- just a willingness to explore what’s possible when your body, mind, and breath are invited to work together—gently and intentionally.

How I Work

I meet my clients exactly where they are- with compassion, curiosity, and a touch of humor. My approach weaves together yoga postures (as needed) breath practices, somatic tools, guided meditation, and education. I draw from my trainings in India, my Master of Science in Yoga Therapy program, and from years working across cultures and communities.

Whether you're navigating grief, chronic pain, or a desire for deeper self-connection, we’ll co-create a path toward sustainable well-being.

Who I Work With

Anyone who wants to work towards optimal health & well-being can benefit from doing yoga therapy with me but I specialize in working with issues related to:

  • Anxiety and Stress

  • Depression

  • Chronic Pain

  • Back Pain

  • Nervous System Regulation

Rooted In Wisdom

As my teacher, Vishva-ji says, “Be proud of yourself.”

I truly believe that yoga- real yoga- isn’t a practice of becoming someone new or a better version of yourself. It’s a practice of remembering who you already are.

If you’re curious about working together, I’d be honored to support you.
